My client a Tier1 market Leading IT Infrastructure + Cloud Solutions Provider are looking for 3x Technical Architect / Principal Consultant - (IT Infrastructure and Cloud) to focus on designing solutions for a range of customers, from Mid-market to Enterprise scale.
This is a pivotal role within the wider Solutions group that works with key customers on large, complex and strategic opportunities. They act as trusted advisors, thought leaders and are the owners of engagements for customers, bringing together capabilities from the subject matter experts in Solutions as well as the wider business to deliver measurable business outcomes. 
Sitting at the top of Professional Services Consulting - Essentially the glue between Presales and Project Delivery keeping presales honest and owning the technical delivery of the solution as the trusted client advisor and technical solution delivery owner.
  • Works with the wider organisation and partners on pre-sales and pipeline opportunities, assisting with exploratory client discussions, high level designs, estimating resource costs, preparing bid responses and peer reviewing proposals where these opportunities are of a multivendor, multi-technology, or highly-complex nature.
  • Works with clients on assigned projects to identify commercially viable, technical, solutions to business problems and streamlining of business process. 
  • Operates in a technical advisory capacity on projects where requested to provide advice and guidance on a proposed solution or assistance towards a resolution where issues have occurred. 
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring that assigned projects are executed and completed within agreed time, quality, scope and costs parameters and that an appropriate level of governance is applied to maintain and manage risks, changes and issues.
  • Accountable as a lead technical role in complex, multi-disciplinary, projects and programmes on which they are assigned, ensuring that solutions are adequately captured in a Statement of Work or Project Initiation Document, analysed, designed and delivered to recognised industry best practices.
  • Manages one or more teams of consultants assigned to projects, for the duration of a project.
  • Designs prototypes and proof of concepts that best fit a client’s needs. 
  • Continually ensuring client satisfaction and excellent client outcomes from project outset to completion.
  • Acts as a mentor and technical escalation point in all areas where they are considered a subject matter expert, providing expert-level knowledge and peer-level review in respect of issue resolution, standards, design, best practice, delivering quality and reference target architectures. 
  • Ensures personal objectives and set KPI targets are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively questions and evaluates existing systems, standards, documentation and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop, ratify, publish and manage technical collateral to support the business in delivering quality, referenced solutions. This includes technical standards and processes, reference architectures and technology roadmaps.
  • Work with and leverage the capabilities and support from Solutions, Sales, third-parties and other Professional Services resources to overcome the complexities of scoping and implementing highly complex solutions.
  • TDA’s must maintain close ties with the Quality Assurance Team and Consultancy Managers to ensure high standards are adhered to or exceeded across all practices and maintain close collaboration on key multi-streamed projects.
